Coursework is supposed to be challenging. There would be no point to assignments if you could do them without any effort, so don't worry if it sometimes feels like you're a little out of your depth. If it's the content of the coursework that's causing you the stress, you should be able to get extra support from your tutor.

Managing coursework is a skill that doesn't come easily to new students and anyone studying for exams. Colleges and universities know the score when it comes to de-stressing students and many of them run study skills courses at the start of each academic year, designed to give students ideas and support with getting organised when it seems like everyone wants a piece of them. Find out what's available and make the most of it.

If you've done all you can to get the latest assignment in to your tutor, but there just isn't enough time left - don't panic. As soon as you realise that you're going to struggle to get it completed, speak to your tutor and explain why you're going to be late. Ask for an extension and plead the obvious - that you would rather have a few more days and get the work done to your best ability than hand it in as a rush job and get marked down.
