10 steps to revision success
The dates are looming on the calendar and there's no escaping the fact that the exams you've been dreading are getting closer. Of course you're probably feeling a bit stressed, but knowing you've done all you can to revise before the event is the best way to take some of the fear out of the impending exams.
Step 1
Sleep: This is the most important step of all - your state of mind will really affect your exam performance. If you haven't been getting much sleep in the run up to the exams, the thought can be pretty daunting. Taking a medicine like PRO PLUS® might also help you focus a little better on your revision and when you feel tired during the day although the best laid plans do tend to get derailed.
It's tempting to cram it all in at the last minute, before exams. Everyone knows that early nights and relaxation are better for you than burning the midnight oil on revision but it doesn't always work that way.
Step 2
Design a revision timetable: Following a realistic revision timetable is an absolutely crucial part of exam preparation. Having a plan will help focus your mind, but it's also there as a reminder of what you've already done. It will also scare you into realising just how much time you have left to revise, so when you're tempted to give it a rest and do something more fun, a quick look at the timetable might just convince you to do some work first! Make sure that you factor in time for nights out and a decent social life as well as 'you-time'
